This course covers the Fundamental Requirements of Emergency and Escape Lighting Systems, to BS 5266 Part 1 2016 Code of Practice for the Emergency Lighting of Premises, BS EN 50172: 2004 Emergency Escape Lighting, BS EN 1838: 2013 Lighting Applications-Emergency Lighting and BS 5499-4: 2013 Code of Practice for Escape Route Signing.

This is a Continuous Professional Development course, certified by the CPD Accreditation Office, 12 CPD Points.

Who is it for?

This course is designed for Electricians or Fire Alarm Technicians who have the required installation skill set to install Emergency Lighting, but may lack the require knowledge to Design, Install, Commission and Maintain Emergency and Escape Lighting Systems Lighting. This course will help enhance your knowledge base, allow you to further your career and develop new revenue sources.

This course is mainly theory supported with visual aids and rig based demonstrations.

Entry Requirments

This course is generally designed for those delegates that already have an Electrical or Fire Alarm installation/maintenance background, with the required installation hand skills.

All applicants must have a good level of written and spoken English and a basic understanding of Maths.

Minimum age 18 or undertaking a relevant approved apprenticeship.

Examination & Assessment

The course is internally assessed via short answer questions and a small sample design task.

TTL / CPD Accreditation Office Certificate on successful completion, we do not provide certificates of attendance. All of our certificates are embossed, employers please check originals.

This course is taught and assessed in English.
