Who is it for?
Any person who wishes to inspect and test electrical equipment that is supplied via a flexible cable, and specified built-in appliances, for safety and suitability.
This qualification is suitable for an electrical contractor wishing to offer another service, electricians seeking to enhance their skills and increase employment opportunities or for general maintenance staff.
What the course covers
- The legal requirements of inspection and testing of electrical equipment in accordance with the Electricity At Work Regulations 1989 and HSE guidance whilst referring to the IET code of practice
- The theoretical requirements, as well as how to practically carry out the inspection and test
- Record keeping
- Relevant health and safety
This is a combined management and operatives course with a mixture of theory and practical sessions. Delegates may bring their own test equipment (if suitable) or use one of our testers.
